Paragliding: flying with skis
Flying close to the ground with skis brings an excitement & challenge to flying in calm winter conditions & allows you to develop your piloting skills in relative safety.
Techniques that may be covered:
Ski launching: nil wind, face wind, tail wind, strong wind. Gentle or steep slopes.
Touch & Go: retaining speed to take off without stopping, controlling the wing .
Symmetrical,? intermittent deep braking (pumping): reduction of glide & altitude.
Positioning for? a spot landing : relative to the slope & wind conditions.
Perception of glide / descent for a spot landing.
Practice on an actual Vol & Ski competition course.
Pilots should be autonomous in normal (foot launched) calm conditions.?
Arrangements may be made for less experienced pilots requiring supervision for landing but this will incur supplementary fees.
It is beneficial to fly with your regular wing but we will be happy to arrange the rental of lightweight harness & basic wings upon request.
